“Six years ago, Rancho Verde, our 40 acre ranch in Mendanales, NM, was evaluated by Earthcrew, Inc.
Our pastures were struggling due to poor sandy soil, low Nitrogen levels and drought conditions, although it is irrigated land.
We decided to do a trial test on our 1 and 1/4 acre of established pasture.”

First test was to spray on water-soluble BioChar. The BioChar would be the host for the resurrection of our soils. Humic acid, Amino acid and Fulvic acid were also sprayed on.

As our established pasture started to recover, we added Kelp, Shellfish powder and Chitosan. Now that this process was underway, the introduction of micro organisms was added to interact with the plants.

Despite our continuing drought conditions, a drought that is the worst in 1,200 years, recent under sowing of grasses and clover, along with aerating the soil, has resulted in a very successful outcome for this trial. Our fat heifers and horses attest to this Earthcrew care system created through this trial and leave us in no doubt where the livestock prefer to graze on our ranch.

Thanks to Earthcrew, and their guidance, we are ready to tackle the next phase of Earthcrew care on the rest of our 40 acre property.
