Humic Acid Liquid

About Humic Acid Liquid 12%

Humic Acid Liquid 12%, when applied to clay soils, can help break up compacted soils, allowing for better water penetration and root development. Applied to sandy soils, Humic Acid Liquid 12% adds the essential materials necessary for retaining water and soil nutrients.

Humic acid increases nutrient uptake, drought tolerance, and seed germination. It increases the microbial activity in the soil, making it an excellent root stimulator. Humic acid increases the availability of nutrients in our fertilizers and in those already existing in your soil. Whereas fertilizers provide specific nutrients to plants, humic (and fulvic) acids increase the availability and uptake of those nutrients, and improve the overall growing environment.

Humic acid can help improve soil texture and water retention. It’s especially useful for us here in the Dallas area, where we tend to have heavy clay soils. Applying humic acid to clay soils can help loosen them, allowing for better water and air penetration.

Humic acid is 100% Organic Liquid Fertilizer extracted from compressed, ancient plant matter in the form of leonardite (a soft brown coal). It is an ideal additive to boost bio-activity and improve the performance of compost, soil structure and plant nutrients intake. The use of organic fertilizers has advantage of being cheap, improving soil structure, texture and aeration increasing the soils water retention abilities and stimulating healthy root development. Organic fertilizer has many sources such as minerals, animal source, sewage sludge and plant matter. The best fertilizer for clay soil is organic material, such as manures, compost and moistened peat moss. Spread 2 inches of each material on the soil each fall and till to a depth of 12 inches. Till soil when it is slightly moist, but not soggy. Working wet clay soil will further compact it.
